Black History Month
Join us to celebrate cultural diversity, raise awareness of challenges which Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) community groups face in our lives, and identify ways to overcome challenges as well as to promote good practice.
About #UoSBHM
Black History Month was first launched in the UK in the 1980s to challenge racism and increase awareness of black British history. It is now an annual celebration of history, achievements and contributions of black people.
Several teams across the University, including the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team, the BAME Network, the University of Southampton Student Union (SUSU) and the Festival team at the Public Engagement with Research unit (PERu), have come together to create a month of online events to enjoy from the safety of your home, wherever you are in the world.
