By e-bike or e-scooter

Voi shared e-bikes and e-scooters are another great, carbon-neutral way to travel around the city, in particular between the city centre, Highfield, Portswood, Shirley and Bitterne, with many of Voi's bespoke parking bays nearby.

How to start:

  • Download the Breeze app onto your iPhone or Android device to start travelling around the city on two wheels.
  • Find an available Voi e-scooter or e-bike and unlock it using your Breeze app.
  • Riders are always encouraged to wear helmets.
  • Never ride with more than one person on the rental e-scooter or e-bike.
  • Never ride on pavements that are only for walking, always follow the Highway Code.
  • Riders need to have a provisional or full driving licence and be at least 18 years of age to hire an e-scooter.
  • Learn how to ride an e-scooter or e-bike safely in just 15 mins by completing the Voi's RideSafe Academy online. You will win a free 30-minute ride when you have completed it.
  • Southampton and Voi operate a Mandatory Parking Zone system which means that you need to park the e-bike or e-scooter in a specific parking area to complete your ride. These are all easy to find on the Breeze app.
