IMAGE COPYRIGHT Lee Cheng Step into a VR world where music is made with your eyes!
Instead of using two-handed controllers, take on short, rhythm-based challenges by moving your head and blinking at just the right moment. By locking your gaze on the right tiles and blinking in time, you hit the beats of a three-minute track and watch your score build in real time. At the end, you'll see your results and discover how closely you kept in time with the rhythm.
This accessible rhythm game removes many of the barriers often found in conventional music-making and gaming, opening up playful and creative experiences for people of all abilities.
You'll come away with a first-hand sense of how digital technology can transform music-making and make the arts more inclusive. Whether you are a gamer, a music lover, or simply curious, experience something fun, fast-paced, and eye-opening - literally -and creatively!
This project is led by Dr Lee Cheng (Anglia Ruskin University) and support by Dr Chiying Lam (University of Southampton), funded by the ESRC Digital Good Network.
